I recommend - Easiest way to learn how to paint/draw is to take some useful art books - study colors, anatomy, shadows and light and have a lot of practice, more you will practice the faster and easier will you paint/draw. A great tutorial. It's absolutely amazing.
May I ask you a question? Seeing image number 7, and then the 8th one, it looks clear that the colors have become smoother. How do you do it? I use smooth brushes and also the blur filter, my result is pretty decent, but yours looks definitely something more.
